- DDMFC has several BMFA-qualified instructors available to guide you from your first flight all the way to flying solo. All instruction is free, but it depends on instructor availability and the weather.
- Flight Simulators: We recommend using flight simulators (such as Real Flight) to improve your hand-eye coordination and practise your flying skills, especially when the weather isn’t suitable for outdoor flying.
- Flight Stabilisation Devices: These devices can help beginners get started in the hobby, but it’s advised to stop using them as soon as possible similar to removing stabilisers from a child’s first bike or you will never learn to fly and achieve properly.
- Continuous Achievement: One of the highlights of the hobby, is that you never stop achieving and progressing.
Mornings and evenings would be ideal times of the day for your training flights - trying to make the most of light to nil winds.
